Registrars of Voters
The election functions of the City of New London are administered by the Office of the Registrars of Voters whose responsibilities and duties are governed by the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut. The Office is administered jointly by a Democratic and a Republican Registrar who are appointed by their respective Town Committees. The principal duties of the registrars are to maintain records of eligible voters, supervise primaries and elections, and uphold the State election laws as governed by the Election Division of the Secretary of the State.
