New London Providing ‘Push’ Notifications From all Departments Through Free Platform

NEW LONDON, Nov. 14, 2024 – Residents and others with ties to New London can now receive emergency and routine notifications from all municipal departments with the City’s  implementation of the OnSolve CodeRED public notification platform.

Information ranging from public safety issues to updates from the Public Utilities, Public Works, Social Services, Mayor’s office and other departments will be “pushed” to digital devices of those registered. Registering for this free service requires only contact information and a username and password.

“This cutting-edge system will revolutionize how we keep you informed and safe,” said New London Police Chief Brian Wright in announcing the program. “No one should automatically assume they are in the emergency contact database, so I urge all residents and others connected to New London to register to receive updates, emergency alerts, and important information directly to your devices in real-time.”

Wright also cautioned those registering to ensure their contact information is accurate during the registration process.

The OnSolve CodeRED enrollment page can be quickly accessed from any mobile device by texting “NewLondonCTalerts” to 24639.
