Ledge Light Health District (LLHD) is the local health department for New London, as well as East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, New London, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Stonington, and Waterford, Connecticut. 

The Director of Health and staff of LLHD work to promote health and wellness among the 151,000 residents they serve. By enforcing the Connecticut Public Health Code, conducting health education programs, monitoring disease outbreaks and nurturing our environment, LLHD is focused on promoting healthy communities.

Collaboration is a cornerstone of LLHD's work – partnering with member municipalities, the Connecticut Department of Public Health, local school districts and numerous community agencies. Most importantly, LLHD develops their work through the feedback and involvement of the community residents they serve.
