Community Service and Wellness Officer

The Community Service and Wellness Officer's (CSWO) role is to build relationships with community members in the City of New London. The goal of this position is to act as a liaison between the Police Department and the people of New London. Our goal is to change the narrative of policing in this city through positive interactions. The CSWO differs from the CRO position as the CRO interacts with local community groups and leaders as well as childhood programs, while the CSWO work with City and local agencies to help provide services and resources to New London. One example of this is the CSWO's  collaboration with the City’s Blight Officer in his day-to-day code enforcement to help restore the beauty in the City of New London.

This position is currently vacant.
