Registrars of Voters

The election functions of the City of New London are administered by the Office of the Registrars of Voters whose responsibilities and duties are governed by the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut. The Office is administered jointly by a Democratic and a Republican Registrar who are appointed by their respective Town Committees. The principal duties of the Registrars are to maintain records of eligible voters, supervise primaries and elections, and uphold the State election laws as governed by the Election Division of the Secretary of the State.

 

2025 Election Dates

GENERAL ELECTION: City Council & Board of Education

 Tuesday, November 4
Voting will be held from 6am to 8pm at the designated polling locations listed below. Early Voting will be held in the second-floor lobby of New London City Hall (181 State Street) from October 20 through November 2. Hours for Early Voting are 10am to 6pm daily except for Tuesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 30 when the hours are 8am to 8pm.
