The election functions of the City of New London are administered by the Office of the Registrars of Voters whose responsibilities and duties are governed by the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut. The Office is administered jointly by a Democratic and a Republican Registrar who are appointed by their respective Town Committees. The principal duties of the Registrars are to maintain records of eligible voters, supervise primaries and elections, and uphold the State election laws as governed by the Election Division of the Secretary of the State.
GENERAL ELECTION: State Offices
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 Governor and Lieutenant Governor, U.S. Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Secretary of the State, Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General, and Judge of Probate Polls will be open from 6am to 8pm. Please see below for your polling location. In-Person Early Voting: Monday, October 19 through Sunday, November 1 at New London City Hall (181 State Street) Hours are 10am to 6pm daily with the exeption of October 27 & 29 when the hours are 8am to 8pm. To apply for an Absentee Ballot beginning on September 19, please visit the Connecticut Online Absentee Ballot Request Portal. If you have questions or need to apply in person, please contact the New London City Clerk's Office for more information.
